They witnessed the signing of a MoU in the smart agriculture field between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea that aims to develop the smart agriculture industry, cooperate in the field of agricultural research, transfer technology, and develop eco-friendly farming technology.
They also witnessed the signing of a MoU for bilateral cooperation in the land transport sector between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea as well as a memorandum of understanding on fisheries and aquaculture cooperation between the Ministry of Municipalities and the Environment of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea to enhance the scientific and industrial cooperation in fisheries and aquaculture field.
In addition, His Highness the Amir and the Korean President witnessed the signing of MoUs between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of the Republic of Korea on recognition of Certificates under Regulation 1/10 of International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW Convention); on cooperation in the field of vocational retraining and development of vocational skills between the General Authority of Customs of the State of Qatar and Customs Border Control Training Institute of the Republic of Korea; for cooperation in the field of smart networks, methods and techniques used between Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) including cooperation and exchange of expertise in smart city technologies, infrastructure of developed calibration and information technology, and for cooperation between Mwani Qatar and Busan Port Authority.
The signing ceremony was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir Amir.
From the Korean side, it was attended by a number of the ministers and senior officials.
