His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir held talks at the Amiri Diwan Wednesday.
The talks dealt with the latest developments in Sudan, and Bashir briefed the Amir on the challenges facing the republic.
The Amir stressed Qatar's commitment to the unity and stability of Sudan.

The talks also focused on the developments of the peace process in Darfur, with the Sudanese president expressing his thanks to the role played by Qatar in enhancing it.
The talks also discussed bilateral ties, in addition to regional and international developments.
The talks were attended by a number of Qatar ministers and the official delegation accompanying Bashir.
The Amir later hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of Bashir.
The Sudanese President later left Doha after a working visit to Qatar.
He was seen off at Hamad International Airport by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, Qatar's ambassador to Sudan Abdulrahman bin Ali al-Kubaisi and Sudan's ambassador to Qatar Fath al-Rahman Ali Mohamed.
