Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) announced on Wednesday the 16th edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, which will be held between February 20 and 25 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) with a brand relaunch.

QNTC's Ahmed Al Obaidli said that the exhibition has become an example to all international business forums held in Doha, adding that this was part of QNTC's efforts to contribute to realizing the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. He added that the wide participation in the 16th edition reflects the confidence that international, regional, and local brands have in the Qatari market. He added that the conference provides a remarkable networking platform for companies and visitors in Qatar and beyond, in addition to showcasing Qatars renowned hospitality, and world-class exhibition and conference infrastructure capabilities including showrooms, facilities, and organizers.

He said that the event's rebranding reflects the show's development over the past 15 editions to become an international show offering visitors a global luxury experience. The reveal marks the beginning of a new chapter in which "Qatar Show" takes on a more leading role in the global jewellery market.

This year's edition will also provide Qatari designers a unique platform to showcase their work alongside leading local and international brands, with the exhibition showcasing the creations of 12 local designers in a pavilion dedicated to showcasing Qatari talent. Qatar Show 2019 will play host to a variety of experiences and networking opportunities for exhibitors and visitors, from a Forum attended by international industry players, daily talks and meet-and-greets with experts and bespoke jewellery, watchmaking and gemology workshops.

The event will additionally feature a dedicated Indian Pavilion as part of the Qatar-India Year of Culture in 2019.
