At the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in the US, LG Electronics showcased a host of innovative products which will be available to customers this year.
They range from the new line up of OLED televisions to sound bars and washing machines, according to a statement issued in Doha yesterday.
LG’s latest flagship TVs with ThinQ AI, powered by the company’s second-generation Alpha 9 Gen 2 intelligent processor and deep learning algorithm, offer a higher level of AI picture and sound experience quality.
This year, LG is expanding its AI partnerships to include Amazon Alexa in 2019 TVs with ThinQ AI to give customers more flexibility when it comes to voice services. The service will be available on LG TVs with ThinQ AI in over 140 countries.
LG also introduced the world’s first rollable OLED TV. The LG Signature OLED TV R can transform itself to offer three different viewing options – Full View, Line View and Zero View.
With support for AirPlay 2, users can easily play videos from iTunes and other video apps, music, photos and directly from their Apple devices to their LG Signature OLED TV R. With Apple HomeKit support, customers will be able to control their LG TV using the Home app or by asking Siri. The company’s new sound bars deliver superior sound quality through a collaboration with Meridian Audio – pioneers of High-Resolution Audio – along with smart functionality and a sleek, modern design.
The XBOOM Go portable Bluetooth speakers and XBOOM AI ThinQ smart speakers supports the aptX HD codec for lossless hi-resolution audio streaming over Bluetooth. Available on 2019 LG XBOOM products, Karaoke Star is a new feature that can suppress the vocals on almost any track, setting the stage for users to give voice to their musical ambitions.
LG also unveiled its second-generation CineBeam Laser 4K projector (model HU85L) with Ultra Short Throw (UST) technology, which gives a 90-inch diagonal image if placed a little more than two inches from the wall. Placed seven inches away, the projector produces a much larger and still bright 120-inch image.
LG’s newest UltraWide Monitor 49WL95 features a large, 32:9 aspect ratio curved screen that delivers exceptional picture quality. LG also debuted its new Nano IPS UltraGear Monitor for gamers at CES, with support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and a 144Hz refresh rate for fast and fluid gaming without tearing.
LG’s large-capacity TWINWash, the complete system of ultra-large capacity washer, convenient SideKick pedestal washer and DUAL Inverter Heat Pump dryer makes it possible to run two loads at once while gently drying a third at low temperature.
The laundry solution, also incorporating Wi-Fi and SmartThinQ, is compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, enabling the user to turn the machines on or off, start or pause a load, monitor the cycle status and more using voice commands and a smartphone app.
The premium LG Styler Black Tinted Mirror Glass Door uses TrueSteam technology to eliminate over 99.9% of the germs and bacteria found in clothing. Clothes placed on the moving shake out wrinkles and unpleasant odours while Gentle Dry removes moisture quickly and thoroughly.
Heat Pump Drying reduces energy consumption by recycling heat from the hot, moist air inside the Styler and Pants Crease Care ensures a neat, tidy look by eliminating wrinkles and creating a crisp crease-line without an iron.
LG also gave the public a look at the bedroom of the future with its Smart Mirror with AI virtual tailored service.
This LG ThinQ mirror can deliver a customised experience with intelligent fashion suggestions and virtual fittings, enabling customers to purchase clothes without having to try them on in a store.
