His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday held talks and discussed ways to promote bilateral relations in various fields, especially in investment, energy, food security and military co-operation.
They also exchanged views on the current regional and international issues.
At the outset of the official talks held at the Amiri Diwan, the Amir welcomed Khan, expressing his hope that the visit would contribute to enhancing co-operation between the two countries to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.


His Highness the Amir and Khan inspect a guard of honour as the Prime Minister is accorded an official reception.

For his part, the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his happiness at his first visit to Qatar, thanking the Amir and the Qatari people for the warm reception and hospitality, while stressing his country's keenness to develop relations with Qatar in various fields.
The talks were attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, and a number of ministers.
From the Pakistani side, the talks was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying Khan.
The Amir later hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of Khan and his delegation.
It was attended by the Prime Minister and a number of ministers.
Earlier, Khan was was accorded an official reception when he arrived at the Amiri Diwan.
The Pakistani Prime Minister later left Doha. 
He was seen off at Hamad International Airport by HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, Qatar's ambassador to Pakistan Saqr bin Mubarak al-Mansouri and Pakistan's ambassador to Qatar Syed Ahsan Raza Shah.
