Al Jaber Group has chosen Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, to upgrade its ICT infrastructure and achieve greater commercial success through digital transformation.

The partnership was established through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at Huawei’s global headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

The new agreement establishes a framework of collaboration based on a spirit of reciprocity and mutual benefit. Huawei will share its global expertise to elevate the ICT capabilities of Al Jaber Group, and act as a model of best international practices through their joint projects. Together, the two companies will launch a cutting-edge new ICT integrator with large project delivery capabilities in Qatar. Huawei will furthermore authorise the deployment of all related products and solutions of the enterprise business level to support Al Jaber Group.

As the world’s largest ICT solutions provider with end-to-end solutions, Huawei will simplify and facilitate Al Jaber Group’s business operations by eliminating the need to integrate the technology of multiple vendors, thereby increasing efficiency and optimising their capabilities. Based on the agreement, Huawei will offer a unified group package prices for Al Jaber’s confirmed projects, thereby increasing their profits.

Mohamed Sultan al-Jaber, chairman Al Jaber Group, said: “As a global leader in the ICT industry, Huawei has the capability to support Al Jaber to deliver the most advanced technology in Qatar and achieve internationalisation at a faster pace. Through this collaboration, we are confident we can guarantee our customers an outstanding quality of service across all projects in the Middle East and worldwide, thereby supporting the development goals of our government outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.”

Fan Tao, CEO of Huawei Technologies, Qatar, added: “At Huawei, we are aiming to find a ‘fellow traveller’ in business development to achieve the goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030, and we believe Al Jaber to be the perfect choice. Through this partnership, we hope to develop Al Jaber's ICT subsidiary into a local top-level ICT integrator, occupying a primary seat among the future giants of Qatar’s ICT industry.”
