The third edition of “Turkey Expo Qatar” will kick off in Doha today with the participation of 120 Turkish companies.
Turkey Expo Qatar 2019 will be held at Doha Exhibitions and Convention Centre (DECC) till January 18.
The exhibition is part of the efforts of the two brotherly countries to consolidate the mutual co-operation, and to establish joint investments that contribute to increasing the volume of trade exchange. Bilateral meetings and gatherings are expected to be held on the sidelines of the expo aiming at consolidating the commercial partnership between the government and private sectors in both countries.
During a press conference yesterday, Turkish ambassador to Qatar Fikret Ozer said that 120 Turkish companies are taking part in the expo to showcase their services in various fields, including real estate, construction materials, food, medical tourism, textiles, furniture and decoration, as well as a number of companies specialising in advanced technology, programming and information technology.
The ambassador noted that the expo will represent a bridge for communication in the economic, commercial and investment areas, and will contribute to promoting the trade exchange between the two brotherly countries to reach higher levels in the coming period.
For his part, Hakan Kurt, chairman, MedyaCity - the organiser of the event - said that Expo Turkey Qatar provides a great opportunity for Turkish businessmen to meet Qatari investors. 
The number of Turkish companies operating in Qatar with joint Qatari and Turkish capital is 242, while the number of Turkish companies operating in Qatar with 100% Turkish capital is about 26. (QNA)
