Carrefour Qatar organised a blood donation drive at its headquarters in Al Dafneh as well as its employees’ accommodation in Al Mansoura, as part of its corporate social responsibility activities and goals.
The initiative organised in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) received a positive response with a large number of employees participating, Carrefour Qatar said in a statement.
A team of medical professionals from HMC was operating a fully equipped mobile blood donation unit assisting the donors.
Laurent Hausknecht, country manager at Carrefour Qatar, commented on the occasion: “At Carrefour, we take our responsibility as an active corporate citizen very seriously and will continue our efforts to support humanitarian causes. We are very proud of our staff members who have stepped forward to participate in this initiative and donated their blood to save the lives of other individuals.”
“Carrefour will continue to demonstrate its commitment to the local communities, positively contributing to a wide range of initiatives to create great moments for everyone every day,” the statement added.
