The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it will implement a temporary closure at the Industrial Area Roundabout 1 in Al Khor, located between Industrial Area Street and Khattaf Street, from Saturday.
As part of the temporary closure, one lane will be closed while the other lane will be kept open in all directions of the roundabout (see map). The closure, carried out in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will last for a month.
The temporary closure is required to enable the works of laying TSE pipe as part of design, build, operation and maintenance of Al Dhakhira Sewage Treatment Works, Transfer Pumping Station and Associated Pipelines, Ashghal has said in a statement.
The authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. It has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit (50km/hour) and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
