Al-Sheehaniya Municipality’s Technical Control Department carried out 60 inspection tours in areas within its jurisdiction last week. These resulted in a number of violation reports being issued against encroachment on state-owned property and four violation reports for installing portable cabins on the public streets in front of some houses.
The general control department conducted 40 inspection tours during the same period and the necessary legal procedures were taken against the violating companies. The municipality’s veterinarians at the automated slaughterhouse destroyed 25 animal carcasses as they were unfit for human consumption. In all, they checked 1,130 carcasses last week.
Umm Salal Municipality removed 36 abandoned vehicles during an inspection campaign during December.
Al Rayyan Municipality conducted various inspection campaigns in November and issued 28 violation reports, out of which 17 were resolved through reconciliation after payment of fines amounting to QR350,288 for violations of building and excavation rules. The Municipality also issued 10 violation reports for encroachment on state-owned property and collected fines to the tune of QR30,000.
