The annual Mahaseel Festival at Katara – the Cultural Village “came to an end successfully”, attracting several dignitaries, government officials and a large number of visitors since it opened on December 31, 2018.
The festival, which focused on Qatar’s agriculture and livestock, provided a platform for local farmers to showcase and promote various products, particularly fresh produce and dairies.

Mahaseel’s 2019 edition, organised in co-operation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, featured an array of educational and entertaining activities for families and children aimed at raising awareness on the importance of agriculture and the best practices in this field.
While the festival ended Saturday, the Mahaseel market will remain open for the public on weekends until the end of March, according to Katara.
