Amir crowns winners of camel festival

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on Wednesday crowned the winners of the eight main races of the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani Camel Festival for purebred Arabian camels, which took place at Al Shahaniya racetrack. The Amir awarded the winners of the final four races of the category for camels aged more than seven years owned by sheikhs. Al Shahaniya camels won the four races. The camels Wesal, Al Hathra, Munawer, and Marmar all won the awards in the four races. In the same category for camels owned by tribe members, the Amir awarded Said Mohamed Zayed al-Khayarain, owner of the camel Sahm the silver spear, and two silver daggers for Nasser Mohamed Said al-Aida, owner of Al Udeid and Salem Nasser Said al-Aida, the owner of Lusail. The races were attended by sheikhs, tribe members, and lovers of Al Hejen sports.
