As part of its ongoing expansion plans aimed at serving every area in Qatar, Qatar Fuel (Woqod) opened its Al Aziziyah Petrol Station Monday, raising its total network of petrol stations to 82.
Woqod CEO Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi said, “We are pleased to open new fixed petrol station in Al Aziziyah. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort. 
“Woqod has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. The Woqod team would like to extend its gratitude to all governmental and private entities concerned and their contributions to the completion of this project.”
The Al Aziziyah Petrol Station is spread over a 10,000sq m area and has four lanes with eight dispensers that will serve Al Aziziyah and its neighbourhood. 
The new petrol station offer round-the-clock services to residents, and include Sidra convenience store, manual car wash, oil change and tire repair, and sale of LPG cylinders, in addition to sale of gasoline and diesel products for light vehicles.
Al-Muhannadi further added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 15 new petrol stations, most of which are expected to be operational in 2019. He noted that there are nine stations in the bidding phase and 23 stations in the design phase.
“As part of its strategic expansion plan, Woqod is targeting a total of 130 fuel stations by the end of 2020,” he said.
