HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida al-Kaabi led Qatar’s delegation to the 101st Ministerial Council meeting of the Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), which was held in Kuwait on Sunday. The meeting of the Ministerial Council, OAPEC’s supreme governing body, included the approval of the 2019 budget, as well as a review of a number of reports including the recommendations of the 11th Arab Energy Conference, the ‘Global Petroleum Status Report’, and the report on the activities of the General Secretariat. Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, received at Bayan Palace in Kuwait City the OAPEC ministers taking part in the ministerial meeting. The Organisation of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries was established in 1968, and is headquartered in Kuwait.
