QR flights cancelled
According to information available on Qatar Airways website, Flight No QR331 that was scheduled to depart Doha at 2.20pm on Thursday for Gatwick London has been cancelled.
Also Flight No QR332 scheduled to depart Gatwick for Doha at 8.30pm on Thursday has been cancelled.
Flights diverted
A travel alert issued by Qatar Airways on Thursday said: "Gatwick Airport has been closed temporarily due to local drone activity. As a result, scheduled flights to and from Gatwick are temporarily operating from Heathrow pending the re-opening of Gatwick Airport."
The alert advised passengers to check the flight information available on the London Gatwick Airport website https://www.gatwickairport.com/ and the flight status information on the Qatar Airways website, or call Qatar Airways' 24-hour call centre on +974 4923 0000.
