The Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) lit its facade with the colours of the Qatari flag on the night of December 18 to mark National Day.

The lighting of DECC’s roof, which was adjusted to reflect the word “Qatar,” had become a breathtaking sight from passing aircraft and higher floors in the surrounding towers.

In addition, DECC was also decorated with National Day flags and featured more than 100sqm of stickers with the official artwork installed on its walls while all digital screens of the venue displayed an animated version of the Qatari flag.

DECC had become a breathtaking sight during the Qatar National Day.

For this special occasion, the DECC car park was opened to the public free of charge, according to its management.

"We are delighted that we have given visitors the opportunity to witness and enjoy Qatar National Day events on the Doha Corniche without worrying about the lack of adequate parking spaces, as our climate-controlled and serviced parking has provided 2,800 safe places for their vehicles at no cost,” the DECC management said in a statement.

To date, DECC hosted more than 100 exhibitions and special events and more than 200 corporate meetings and workshops with around 1mn visitors, many of whom expressed their admiration for the venue, its services and events.

The onsite metro station, named after DECC, when open, will contribute positively to increase the number of visitors to the venue and its events and offer them a convenient experience.
