Katara – the Cultural Village yesterday hosted the ‘All united hand in hand’ operetta, reflecting the solidarity and co-existence between expatriates and citizens in Qatar. The show was held as part of the Qatar National Day celebrations and was followed by a fireworks display at the Katara esplanade. Meanwhile, more than 300 drones put up a scintillating show in the sky above Katara. The drone show illustrated symbolic figures in Qatar accompanied by national songs – all highlighting the patriotic spirit. Also, visitors enjoyed a dance show by a Russian band that included the ‘Flower Dance’, accompanied by prominent local Qatari songs, Katara said in a statement. The show was followed by a performance by an Asian band that performed a dance with handheld fans dressed in their traditional costumes involving 30 dancers. Further, visitors witnessed military musical performances from countries such as Turkey, Jordan and Italy, in addition to a performance by the Amiri cavalry, followed by fireworks.
