Ashghal will put in place a temporary traffic change on 3km of Al Luqta Street (Khalifa Avenue), between Tilted Intersection and 300m after Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange to facilitate the completion of road works.

The diversion designed in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic is to be implemented from Wednesday and will be in place until next month.

During the period, Doha-bound traffic from Dukhan and vice versa will be diverted to the two-lane service roads that run parallel to Al Luqta Street (as shown on the map).

On December 21 and 22 and on December 28 and 29, all left turn movements on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange will be closed and road users will be required to make a U-turn at Tilted Intersection, Bani Hajer Interchange or Al Wajbah Interchange to get back on to Khalifa Avenue. Once back at Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange, they will be able to make a right turn towards their destinations.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the diversion. The authorities have urged all road users to abide by the 50kph speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
