Genesis vehicles have taken home a number of awards in 2018, “taking the automotive world by storm”.
Highlights for the year include the Genesis G70 being named 2019 MotorTrend Car of the Year, 2019 Car and Driver 10Best Award Winner and Best Deluxe Car by Hispanic Motor Press; and the Genesis G80 being honoured as the Best Luxury Sedan for Reliability from the
Women’s Choice Awards.
The award-winning luxury brand’s lineup is available at Skyline Automotive, the official distributor of Genesis in Qatar.
The Genesis G70 nod from MotorTrend as the Car of the Year for 2019 was a particular honour, as the G70 was reviewed against 19 other nominees and was critiqued based on competency, desirability and capability. The 2019 Genesis G70 luxury sport sedan integrates modernity, leading performance and athletic design into one, helping bag the prestigious award.
Further, the G70 winning the 2019 Car and Drive 10Best Award is further proof of the credibility the G70 and the Genesis brand more broadly has secured from third-party observers due to its impressive list of essential features, according to press statement issued in Doha by Skyline Automotive. The award was announced during an event at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and marks the first ever 10Best award for the brand.
The luxury sport sedan was also named Best Deluxe Car by Hispanic Motor Press, as it was recognised for its appeal to both the luxury and modern-day motorist.
The Genesis G80 being named Best Luxury Sedan for Reliability by Women’s Choice Awards is one of the year’s greatest achievements and shows consistent performance, as it was recognised by the leading, independent organisation for the second year in a row, the statement notes.
“These awards have marked 2018 a milestone year for the Genesis brand, particularly in Qatar. The awards reflect Genesis’s commitment to providing quality performance and excellence to the automotive industry, in line with Skyline Automotive’s aims of delivering world-class vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technology to its customers,” the statement adds.
