Ibn Ajayan Projects (IAP), managers of Asian Town, has announced that Asian Town is all set to celebrate Qatar National Day on 
December 18.  
An array of festive activities will be held to mark the special occasion, IAP has said in a statement.
The events, which reflect the country’s heritage, culture and traditions, have been organised at Asian Town by IAP and the Ministry of Interior. 
IAP is organising Ardha, a traditional Arabic sword dance, from 6pm to 9pm on December 18 in front of Plaza Mall. Ardha is a celebratory dance that symbolises strength and unity. 
All visitors will be welcomed and encouraged to participate alongside the dancers, a true representation of solidarity within the community.
The programmes have been organised in different locations of Asian Town, including the outside yard at the cricket stadium, the open parking area in front Plaza Mall, etc. There will also be cultural events inside the Asian Town amphitheatre.
The Asian Town cricket stadium is also prepared to entertain cricket lovers in Qatar. Qatar Cricket Association is organising an international match between Qatar Stars and Asian Stars on December 18. 
International cricket stars Venkatesh Prasad, Umar Gul, Asela Gunaratne, Ajantha Mendis, Fawad Alam, M Elias, M Ashraful, Asadullah Khan, M Yamin Ahmadzai, M Hasim, and Sanjam Regmi will play in the Asian Stars side against Qatar Stars (the Qatar national team).
Asian Town has been decorated with flags and colourful ribbons on the occasion. Preparations are in full swing and the whole Asian Town is getting a makeover with all the streets getting adorned with national flags.
