The Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced Friday that Doha will host the African Super Cup match between Esperance of Tunisia and Raja Casablanca of Morocco in February.
QFA said its President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani has signed an agreement with Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Ahmed Ahmed to this effect.
QFA and CAF are expected to unveil the details of the event shortly.
CAF President Ahmed said that Doha's hosting of the African Super Cup comes within the framework of activating the cooperation agreement between the two sides, reiterating his confidence in Qatar's organisational capabilities.
