Ooredoo is the official telecommunications sponsor for the Doha Forum, which begins tomorrow at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel.
The two-day event promotes diplomacy, dialogue and diversity. This year’s focus points will be: security; peace and mediation; economic development; and trends and transitions.
Established in 2000, the Doha Forum aims to act as a platform for global dialogue on critical challenges facing today’s world. With modern-day borders infinitely more porous than before, and challenges and solutions similarly interlinked, the Doha Forum enables the interchange of ideas, discourse, policy making and action-oriented recommendations.
The Forum is aimed at high-level participants with the power to create change; government leaders, policy makers, private sector representatives and non-governmental organisations.
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said of the partnership: “We place great emphasis on supporting events that benefit our society and its development, and we’re proud to be partnering with such a valuable platform as the Doha Forum. We recognise the importance of meaningful, high-level dialogue in driving change, and look forward to another successful forum with a positive outcome.”
