Qatar Petroleum (QP) and QNB are the official sponsors of the 18th edition of the Doha Forum, slated for December 15 and 16 at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel, under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida al-Kaabi, who is also QP president and chief executive, said: “We are pleased to be part of this important global platform for dialogue on critical challenges facing our world.”

This year’s edition brings together international decision-makers, heads of state, ministers, business executives, and advocates who will examine policy around the critical challenges facing the world today.
Under the theme Shaping Policy in an Interconnected World, the forum’s organisers and partners are executing high-level panels, plenaries, and workshops around four key themes: security, economic development, peace and mediation, and trends and transitions.
In line with the 2018 forum’s new model and vision to become a leading global hub for policy innovation, this year’s edition marks a new phase of partnerships with renowned international organisations and leading local institutions.
The forum’s strategic partners are the Munich Security Conference, the International Crisis Group, and the European Council on Foreign Relations.
The organisers are also working with content partners who are co-producing individual forum sessions, including RAND, the Global Dryland Alliance, the Brookings Centre in Doha, the International Centre for the Study of Violent Extremism, the Observer Research Foundation, the Centre for the National Interest, the S Rajartnam School for International Studies, the Doha Institute, and the Valdai Discussion Club.
