The Advisory Council held its regular weekly session under the chairmanship of the Deputy Speaker of the Council Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti.
The Council started its session by discussing the report of the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee on Decree Law No 19 of 2018 amending some provisions of Law Practice Act No 23 of 2006.
The Council also discussed Decree Law No 22 of 2018 amending some provisions of Law No. 8 of 2012 regarding Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
The Advisory Council approved the decrees and decided to submit its recommendations to the government.
On the occasion, the Shura Council reviewed the reports of a number of its delegations, which recently participated in international and regional parliamentary meetings and forums.
The reports showed the active participation of the delegations of the council in these meetings and forums, during which the views of the council were raised among the topics discussed. 
Meanwhile, the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the Advisory Council on Monday held the second meeting of the 47th regular session of the Council. The meeting was chaired by its Rapporteur, HE Mohamed Ali bin Abdul Latief al-Misnad.
At this meeting the Committee studied the Decree by Law (18) for the year 2018, on amendment of some provisions the of Law on Tenders and Auctions, issued by Law No (24) for the year 2015. Thereafter, the Committee decided to submit its recommendations to the Council thereon.
