His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will patronise this morning the inauguration ceremony of the Doha Historical Dictionary of Arabic.
The ceremony will be organised by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies.
Work on the dictionary began in May 2013. It is the first dictionary that oversees the compilation of a historical lexicon of the Arabic language.
The project has been under the guidance and support of the Amir since he was the Heir Apparent within his vision of preserving the Arabic language and the identity of the nation.
