Social Development Centre (Nama) has said its ‘Inspirational’ programme continues to achieve its goals of “providing valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs and microenterprises to help them grow and prosper”.
This is being done by investing all the resources made available by the State to help the entrepreneurs achieve their goals and present their ideas and projects in a way that is in line with the aspirations of the country, Nama has said in a statement.
The programme, launched under the theme of ‘Healthy and Innovative Lifestyle’, involves a series of activities aimed at developing a healthy and innovative lifestyle. Participating speakers have presented their “successful and inspiring experiences to stimulate the pioneering spirit among young people”.
The speakers include Dr Abdul Hakim al-Shamsi, founder of York Qatar; Rashid Abed, CEO of Jarman Qatar; Atef Maamri, general manager of Power House; and Abdullah al-Ali, founder partner of Localores, Eiffel.
Amal bint Abdullatif al-Mannai, executive director of Nama Centre, said: “This platform enables young entrepreneurs to present their projects to a select group of carefully selected investors who are interested in investing in micro and small projects, which will be beneficial to them and their future, as well as to society as a whole.
“Nama Centre harnesses all efforts and opportunities for young people in order to achieve its goals of empowering and rehabilitating our children, in line with the objectives and vision of Qatar Foundation for Social Action as well as the aspirations of our beloved country, Qatar, so that these young people can contribute to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
The initiative continues to achieve its objectives through a variety of programmes that contribute to strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Qatar, the statement notes. The platform aims at empowering and building the material and knowledge capacities of entrepreneurs from small and micro entrepreneurs, as well as promoting the culture of innovation and the spirit of competition among entrepreneurs, especially Qatari citizens.
