Mowasalat (Karwa) recently organised its annual End of Year Festival for drivers and support staff, for the eighth year in a row.
The two-day event consisted of an array of cultural, recreational and awareness programmes. A number of raffle draws were also held to give away gifts to the participants.
Among the highlights of this year’s festival was the Mowasalat Chairman Cup 2018 closing ceremony, where the champions of team and individual sports competitions were awarded trophies and medals, along with the referees and members of the organising committee.
For several years, Mowasalat has been organising recreational programmes for its drivers and support staff to provide a cheerful environment that supports them in line with its objective to create suitable conditions and a healthy work environment, considering that their families are back in their home countries, the
company has said in a statement.
Mowasalat holds friendly gatherings associated with their countries and cultures and also creates an opportunity for the staff to meet people from diverse cultures, the statement notes.
The festival witnessed the presence of Mowasalat chairman Nasser bin Mohamed al-Malki, managing director and CEO Khalid Nasser al-Hail and other members of the company’s management, who motivated the drivers and support staff.
Al-Hail said, “Holding the recreational festival is in line with Mowasalat’s national duty and social responsibility towards the employees. Mowasalat adopts best motivation methods and development plans through its wise policies in managing work and achieving the best productivity.
“This comes with the objective of alleviating work pressure, motivating employees and helping achieve the company’s desired objectives and sustainable development.”
