Ooredoo is the official sponsor of the 6th edition of Qatar’s Strongest Man (QSM), organised by Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) today at Aspire Park, it was announced.
Only the eight strongest and fastest entrants who successfully complete the physical challenges will proceed to the actual competition. Challenges include a 200kg deadlift, a farmer’s 20m walk while carrying 120kg in each arm, and a giant 160kg tyre flip. 
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director of Communications and PR at Ooredoo, said of the sponsorship: “Promoting health and fitness remains a key community focus for Ooredoo and we’re delighted to be associated with this event. We hope Qatar’s Strongest Man 2018 will inspire more Qatar nationals and residents to take up health and fitness challenges such as this one.” 
In 2017, Abdulaziz al-Kuwari and Christopher Oketch were named the champions of the QSM’s Qatari and open categories. This year’s competition will only have one overall winner. 
AZF will also organise a series of accompanying community activities for all the family to enjoy at the event. Entry is free.
