A minor fire incident was reported at entrance No 5 of Doha Metro's Al Sadd station and it was completely controlled, Qatar Rail said in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ministry of Interior, too, tweeted about the incident, stating that the Civil Defence brought the minor fire under control at the site and there were no injuries.
Later, in the evening, Qatar Rail informed on Twitter that the contractor had resumed normal operations at Al Sadd station, which is still under construction. "Eng Abdulla al-Kaabi confirmed the continuity of work after controlling the heavy smoke," it said.
