Sigma Metal Industries has been presented ‘SME Excellence Award’ by HE the Qatar Central Bank Governor Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud al-Thani, also QDB chairman, at a function organised by Qatar Development Bank recently.
Established in 2008, Sigma is the leading manufactures of traffic signs, directional signs, gantries and cantilevers, internal and external way finding signage. 
The company is promoted by Nasser Sulaiman H M al-Haider, a prominent businessman and a member of the advisory council (Shura Council) for His Highness the Amir of Qatar. Al-Haider is also a board member of Qatar Chamber. 
In a statement Doha bank said it “is honoured that Sigma Metal Industries got recognition by getting an award, which is given to only TOP 50 performing SMEs in Qatar.”
Al-Haider said, “We are delighted to receive this award, which definitely is a recognition of contribution to Qatar economy. We believe our forte is customer satisfaction, state-of-the- art machinery and continuous development of technical capabilities.

The company aims to excel in the challenges ahead and provide commitment to performance, reliability and quality excellence.”
Doha Bank CEO Dr R Seetharaman appreciated the efforts of Sigma and congratulated al-Haider and the management of Sigma for their excellent performance in the Qatari market by forming a viable business model and making an impact on Qatar’s economy.
Doha Bank was pioneer in appreciating the importance of the critical role being played by SMEs in the development of Qatar economy, he said. 
Doha Bank was the first bank to launch ‘Tatweer’, a dedicated SME unit in 2008. Through this initiative, the bank said it “would continue to participate in Qatar’s diversification story by encouraging the SME Sector.”
