Ooredoo has announced a digital partnership with Al Meera to drive digital innovation and transform customer experiences.
As part of the memorandum of understanding, Ooredoo becomes the preferred partner for Al Meera’s digital transformation. Ooredoo will provide its telecommunications and ICT solutions, across ISP services, data centre and disaster recovery, smart Wi-Fi and the Internet of Things with connected fleet management, the company has said in a statement.
Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi, chief operating officer at Ooredoo, said: “Ooredoo’s partnership with Al Meera on the company’s digital transformation will support new levels of retail innovation to enhance business competitiveness and customer experiences. We are exchanging best practices to provide the digital foundation that can further enhance Qatar as one of the world’s most innovative retail countries.” Al Meera operates more than 50 branches in different formats, including hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores in Qatar and Oman.
Salah al-Hammadi, deputy CEO of Al Meera, said: “In line with our vision to become Qatar’s favourite neighbourhood retailer, our digital transformation with Ooredoo will enable real-time operation and customer insights.”
