Mohamed Ali al-Mannai, president of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), met yesterday at the CRA office with Mohamed Ben Amor, secretary general of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organisation (AICTO).
They discussed aspects of future co-operation between CRA and AICTO in the field of information and communications technology (ICT).
The meeting comes in line with CRA’s aim to communicate with related Arab and international organisations in order to exchange experiences and keep up with the latest developments in the field, which in turn will contribute to the development of Qatar’s ICT sector, the authority has said in a statement.
AICTO is an Arab governmental organisation headquartered in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, and working under the aegis of the League of Arab States. It aims at developing ICTs throughout the Arab region and providing the necessary mechanisms to support co-operation and complementarity between AICTO members, promote and enrich common policies and strategies to develop vital technological domains.
