Vodafone Qatar received yesterday the Business Continuity Institute (BCI)-Qatar Forum’s ‘Continuity and Resilience Most Effective Recovery’ 2018 award, which was accepted by Vodafone Qatar director of External Affairs Mohamed al-Yami at the ‘2nd Business Continuity and Resilience Conference’.
Vodafone Qatar has been the Gold Sponsor of the conference for the second consecutive year, with this year’s edition titled ‘Towards a Reliable Economy’. Under the patronage of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the event gave special focus on supply chain management, cybersecurity, and the government’s role in achieving business continuity and resilience for Qatar, building on the outcomes from the conference’s first edition. Al-Yami said: “We’re proud that our strong business continuity efforts have been recognised with this award. The ability to effectively respond to and manage incidents in a timely manner before those become a crisis, is essential to ensure an organisation survives in today’s fast paced business environment that’s faced with ever increasing threats. “As such, Vodafone Qatar has an established business resilience programme that has been awarded the prestigious ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management System certification, demonstrating the company’s commitment to the highest levels of reliability and security in its business and technical operations.”
