Ideal Indian School (IIS) recently celebrated its 34th Annual Day. The event featured cultural performances including international, folk, western, fusion and contemporary dances, songs, musical and multi-lingual dramas by the students of kindergarten, junior, girls and boys section. The event was attended by notable personalities, including Abdullah Muhammad Mahmoud Abdulraheem al-Mulla, Head of Cultural Department at FANAR; Parvez Khan, EGM Investments and Strategy at Commercial Bank; and Shruthi Purushotham, Third Secretary of Education and Culture at Embassy of India. Dr Hassan Kunhi M P, President of School, along with Syed Shoukath Ali, Principal of SIS, and Heads of Sections also attended the event. 
Syed Shoukath Ali presented the annual report at the event. He said that the school has set standards and goals in the area of academics, sports, events, discipline, leadership, management systems and more.
The students were also felicitated for their outstanding performance in CBSE examinations at the event. Gold and Silver medals were awarded to the school position holders and individual subject toppers of Grade X and XII. The school staff completing their 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of dedicated services to the school were also felicitated on the occasion. 
The event featured a cultural extravaganza ‘Threads of Yarn’. About 2,000 students from all four sections performed at the event. Shivani Dhansingh Thakur, Head Girl, welcomed the gathering and Fahad Aqueel Thakur, Head Boy, proposed a vote of thanks. The event was co-ordinated by Shobhana Menon, Vice Principal of Junior Section, and Nazima Bi, Headmistress of Girls’ Section.
