Around 20 Indian companies participated in the country’s pavilion at ‘Hospitality Qatar 2018’, the international hospitality and Horeca (hotel/restaurant/café) trade show which concluded on Thursday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The Indian pavilion at the three-day event was inaugurated by ambassador P Kumaran. The pavilion was organised by WegVoraus, a business promoter and exhibition organiser headquartered in New Delhi, according to a statement issued by the embassy on Thursday.

Among the major players participating in the Indian pavilion were PCL Foods, Zimdra Foods from the rice sector, Jay Shree Tea from the tea segment, VNKC Agrocom a pioneer in peanut segment and Fedora Impex from the kitchen equipment sector.

Others included manufactures and exporters such as Savour India representing breakfast cereals; Kaloon Agro - Honey; Evexia - food supplements, KCPM and SIGC - cardamom, Orchid Exim - sesame seeds and spices and others from rice and cereals such as KKRM and Meghdoot.

Apart from food, the pavilion also had participation from the food packaging sector – Spectra Plast providing plastic based packaging material supplies and solutions, the statement added.

The IFP Qatar organised event attracted 188 exhibitors from 20 countries.
