Ooredoo, Msheireb Properties partner to provide fibre infrastructure in Msheireb Downtown Doha

Ooredoo announced yesterday its partnership with Msheireb Properties to provide fibre infrastructure to its flagship development, Msheireb Downtown Doha, the world’s first sustainable downtown regeneration project.
Msheireb Downtown Doha is set to leverage Ooredoo’s industry-leading technology infrastructure to transform the way that people think about urban living, and to improve their daily lives. The combination of Ooredoo’s network infrastructure, cloud-based digital citizen services, and robust cybersecurity solutions will enable smart living, shopping, and leisure.
Ooredoo COO Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi said: “Ooredoo is providing its world-class fibre infrastructure to strengthen the smart city offering of Msheireb Downtown Doha, one of the smartest city districts in the world.

Msheireb Downtown Doha’s long-term digital roadmap, developed in partnership with Ooredoo, outlines how the district leverages new and emerging innovations that can encourage social interaction, respect the local culture, and provide greater care for the environment.
Ooredoo’s industry-leading digital infrastructure, provided through its Qatar Data Centre, will allow Msheireb Downtown Doha to react and predict citizens’ needs in real-time.
