Qatar has welcomed the call of Moroccan King Mohamed VI for a frank and direct dialogue with Algeria to overcome the situational and substantive differences between the two parties, and commended the move, hoping it to be the beginning of a constructive and fruitful dialogue.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Qatar believes that opening channels of dialogue and diplomacy would heal the differences.
It stressed that Qatar is confident of the wisdom of both leaderships, their desire to settle long-standing differences and their keenness to uphold the interest of their peoples for good and prosperity.
