The Institute of Public Administration at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) yesterday launched its annual training plan for 2019, the largest training plan by the Institute since its inception.
Institute of Public Administration General Director Abdulaziz Saad al-Majali said that the plan includes 1037 training programmes: of which 671 are in the administrative track and 280 in the specialised one, in addition to 86 special programme, involving about 20,740 employees from government bodies, an increase of up to 40% of the target number of the plan this year.
He pointed out that the training programmes will be held in the morning and evening time, taking into account official holidays and events in the country.
He pointed out that implementation of training programmes are scheduled to start at the beginning of the second week of January 2019 to ensure registration of training programmes as of the beginning of the plan implementation.
The first week of 2019 will include training programmes for some government institutions, but training programmes in Ramadan as well as in June will be only in the morning time.
Al-Majali confirmed that the institute’s plan for 2019 was built after considering training needs provided by 42 government institutes subject to the civil human resources management law, where trained specialists were trained on the use of models to identify the training needs of the administrative and specialised tracks in March.
He added that new training programmes have been added within the 2019 annual training plan, at the request of government institutions and taking into account the participants’ comments on the training programmes, such as “Innovation and Excellence in the Work Environment, Electronic Security and Preparation of Financial Accounts by Excel, s well as the launch of (excellence in the provision of services to the public) programme to train staff who provide services directly to the public, which includes about 30 training programmes during 2019.
The training plan for 2019 included 86 specialised training programmes for nine governmental institutions aimed at raising the efficiency of public officers and qualifying them to perform their work efficiently and effectively according to the methodology of linking the training track to career path in order to achieve the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.
