A Qatari delegation led by HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi attended the 108th GCC Financial and Economic Co-operation Committee Meeting, held in Kuwait yesterday. The meeting was also attended by ministers of finance, economy and planning of GCC countries, as well as by the secretary-general of the GCC. During the meeting, the importance of the 
continued efforts of GCC countries to adapt to current financial and economic developments as well as to regional and international challenges was reiterated. The importance to support and promote joint GCC economic development was also reaffirmed. Several other matters were discussed, including following up on the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council relating to the joint GCC financial and economic work, the developments of the GCC common market and the customs union of GCC states. The meeting also saw the adoption of the recommendations of the 71st Meeting of the Committee of Governors of Monetary Institutions and Central Banks of the GCC States, held in Kuwait last month.
