His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued yesterday Decree No 58 of 2018 inviting the Advisory Council to hold its 47th Ordinary Session on Tuesday, 28th of Safar 1440, corresponding to November 6. The decree is effective as of the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.

PM sends message to Greek counterpart
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani has sent a written message to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, pertaining to bilateral relations and means of boosting them. The message was handed by Qatar’s ambassador to Greece Abdulaziz Ali al-Neama, during a meeting with Assistant Director of the Prime Minister’s Office Ioannis V Giorgakakis.

Russia’s Dalaloyan wins men’s All-around gold
Russia’s Artur Dalaloyan held his nerve to claim his first ever men’s All-around title in a thrilling finish at the world championships in Doha yesterday. On a night of high tension and despite ending on the same score as China’s defending champion Xiao Ruoteng, 87.598, the 22-year-old Russian took gold on a count back of each competitors’ top five scores.
