A number of contracts were signed in the first two days of the ongoing Milipol Qatar 2018 exhibition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
Milipol Qatar president Major General Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani said Tuesday that an agreement for intense co-operation was signed between GIE Milipol chairman Yann Jounot and ComexposiumCenter president Renaud Hamaide.
"The agreement for partnership between Milipol Qatar and Milipol Paris is until 2026," Major General Nasser al-Thani said.
On the sidelines of the expo, Milipol Qatar organising committee member and Ministry of Interior's (MoI) Logistics Department assistant director Brigadier Saud Rashid al-Shafi announced the details of the contracts signed on the opening day.
The MoI signed a contract worth QR928,40605 with GBM for developing main devices, with maintenance and support services for three years.
Another contract worth QR89,32742 was signed with Nokia Solutions Network for updating and maintenance of Tetra system of the MoI.
The third contract worth QR248,82000 was signed with De La Rue International Company for importing Qatari e-passports while the fourth contract worth QR447,08000 was signed with Abdullah Abdul Ghani Co for importing 324 vehicles.
The last contract worth QR9,519,000 signed on the first day of expo was with Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co for importing 76 different kinds of vehicles for Al Fazaa police and Traffic Department.
Four contracts were signed by the MoI Tuesday, the second day of Milipol. A contract worth QR45114505 was inked with Idemia France for importing and maintaining portable fingerprint devices and machines for fingerprinting the passengers through borders for three years.
An agreement was signed with Key Technical International to supply traffic radar equipment installed on patrols at QR11,101,969. It was also agreed with Eshhar for security services for the supply and maintenance of traffic radars for a value of QR55,637,336 and with TELCO International for the supply and maintenance of traffic radars for QR41,079,661.
