Jakub Hrinda, Golfer and alumnus of Doha College (DC), recently won Turkish Amateur Open at Gloria Golf Course Belek. Jakub won with the score of -3 after a play-off where he had to birdie the last hole to gain victory. Jakub will also play in the NCAA 1st Division College golf in the USA, representing George Washington University. 
Jakub was in Grade X at DC when he made history by becoming the youngest player to appear in  Qatar Masters 2015, European Tour event. He qualified for the event having won the Qatar Open that year, and has since become a multiple winner of the Faldo Series in the Middle East, Slovakia and Italy, and was a medallist in Faldo Series Grand Finals in Greenbrier and Mission Hills. 
In 2016, Jakub shared the podium of the Qatar Junior Open with fellow DC student and winner Mikkel Mathiesen. Jakub has played at various tournaments including Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, D+D Real Slovakia Challenge, The Golf Citizen Classic, Chagsha Championship, JR World Florida Challenge and. His upcoming schedule includes tournament in South Africa, Malaysia and a few amateur entries into professional tournaments in the spring of 2019.
