Milipol Qatar Committee announced that the 12th International Exhibition for Internal Security and Civil Defence (Milipol Qatar 2018), scheduled for later this month, will host international specialists and experts to discuss specialised security issues during seminars that will be held on the sidelines of the event.
The seminars will address three main topics — cybersecurity, cybersecurity and civil defence, and security management of major events. The speakers will focus on the important challenges facing the security sector in the three areas.
According to the schedule of events, the programme will be kicked off with a morning seminar on October 30, the second day of the exhibition, under the title “Cybersecurity and Cyber Threats”, in the presence of a group of key speakers from Qatar and abroad.
The speakers will discuss the threats in the cybersecurity sector and the appropriate solutions to address these threats.
Another seminar will be held in the same day to discuss the areas of civil defence in the presence of high-level speakers from outside Qatar.
A panel discussion entitled “Security Management of Major Events” will be held in the last day, October 31, to be followed by a panel discussion for the 2022 FIFA World Cup supreme committee, focusing on the security aspects of the major events and the latest innovative solutions to ensure security and safety during the organisation of major events.
Commenting on the seminar accompanying Milipol Qatar 2018, President of Milipol Qatar Committee Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad al-Thani said that the international event has succeeded in attracting senior experts and specialists of internal security and civil defence from around the world to discuss vital and urgent issues of global security.
