Normal academic day except for some schools
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has said today will be a regular academic day in accordance with the academic calendar for 2018-2019 as there will be no suspension of studies in schools, QNA reports.
The ministry, however, explained that a number of schools would not be able to receive students today so that the task forces concerned could to carry out the necessary repair works and address the damage caused by yesterday’s rain.
Parents were informed of this decision, the ministry said.
The ministry also called on the public not to pay attention to rumours and false news about the suspension of studies on Sunday, which were officially denied.
The ministry advised them to receive information from official sources and sites.
