Eight Palestinians, including six school children, were injured in Deir al-Balah following Israeli airstrikes on several locations in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning.

Palestinian sources said several rockets fired by Israeli warplanes targeted sites south of Gaza City, while another blast rocked the central region of the Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli raids extended from Rafah in the south to the town of Beit Lahia in the north of the Strip. Clouds of black smoke rose above several areas, they added.

Another powerful explosion also rocked Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

For its part, Israeli sources said at dawn today that several injuries occurred in the Israeli city of Beersheba, near the Gaza Strip, after the fall of a Grad rocket fired from the Strip. (QNA)
