Most of the infrastructure development works being carried out as part of Ashghal’s citizens’ sub-divisions projects would be completed latest by September next year.
While informing this yesterday at the signing ceremony of the five new projects, Fatima Salat from Ashghal’s roads projects department said works were being carried out in Bani Hajer North, Rawdat Egdaim and Ezghawa, Al Foroush and Al Kharaitiyat, Al Nassiriya North, Al Wukair South, Muaither West, and Al Shamal City.
These projects will serve a total of more than 11,000 plots of land. “A number of the projects would be completed before the end of this year itself,” said Salat.
A representative of one of the companies which was awarded contracts for a major project yesterday said the government and Ashghal are carrying out projects involving the private sector in the implementation of infrastructure projects, on a war footing.
He said his company was awarded works exceeding QR650mn to develop infrastructure of citizens’ plots of land in Al Ebb and Al Leabib.
Central Municipal Council member from Muaither Mohamed Ali al-Athba thanked Ashghal president and his team of officials for the developmental activities being carried out in his
constituency.
Similarly, Mubarak Furaish, Central Municipal Council member for Al Gharrafa, South of Kharaitiyat and Izgawa constituency said his constituents are happy at the works being executed in the two areas. “We are confident that Ashghal will complete these new projects to the highest standards.”
Meshal al-Nuaimi, Central Municipal Council member for Al Kheesa, Al Ebb and Leabib constituency lauded the continuous co-operation between Ashghal and the members and committees of the Central Municipal Council.
