Doha Institute for Graduate Studies has signed an agreement with the University of Jordan to strengthen academic ties, promote scientific research and establish a scientific partnership aimed at finding mechanisms to establish an effective programme for academic co-operation.
The agreement was signed by Doha Institute for Graduate Studies acting president Dr Yasser Maali and University of Jordan president Dr Abdel-Karim al-Qudah.
Under the agreement, the institute will offer scholarships to the university’s students in various fields of study and research, Dr Maali said, adding that the grants will not exceed two years, and will cover the expenses of study, accommodation and housing, in addition to health coverage and flight tickets.
The beneficiaries of the scholarships, which will be announced at the beginning of the fall of each year, are students with a “very good” grade and above in the bachelor’s degree who have obtained a score of 520 in the TOEFL or 5.5 in the ILETS.
For his part, Dr al-Qudah said that the agreement will enable distinguished students who have a bachelor’s degree to pursue their higher education in the institute in various fields, such as social and human sciences, public administration, economics of development, psychology, social work, conflict management and humanitarian work. VW Teramont 2018 model recalled
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Q-Auto, has announced the recall of Volkswagen Teramont model of 2018 over the incorrect tightening of brake bolt.
The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that automobile dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.
The MEC said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
