Ashghal will put in place a temporary closure of two lanes on Al Istiqlal Street in both directions between 5/6 Interchange and Onaiza Intersection (known as the Qatar Club Intersection) starting Tuesday.
The other two lanes on Al Istiqlal Street will remain open to traffic (as shown on the map). The closure will last until October 23, 2018, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The closure aims to pave the last layer of asphalt on Al Istiqlal Street and will be implemented in two phases to ensure free traffic flow.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the changes on the road and has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
