Amir condoles with President Trump
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent yesterday cables to US President Donald Trump expressing their sincere condolences on the victims of the Hurricane Michael, which hit the coast of Florida, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

PM congratulates Iraqi counterpart
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani held yesterday a phone conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi. During the phone call, HE the Prime Minister congratulated Abdul-Mahdi on his mandate to form a new government, wishing him success, and the Iraqi people further progress and prosperity. They also reviewed bilateral relations and ways to develop and strengthen them in various fields.

Bombings in southern Somalia condemned
Qatar has strongly condemned the two explosions which took place in the town of Baidoa in southern Somalia, causing deaths and injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their motives and reasons.
