Noor Al Rayyan, owned by Sheikh Meshal bin Essa bin Thamir al-Thani's Elalya Stud, won the Senior Mares Championship gold at the 6th Straight Egyptian World Championship Arabian Horse Show in Milan, Italy, Sunday. On Day One of the event on Saturday, the Al Rayyan Farm-bred mare had topped Class 3B for Senior Mares with a score of 94.3 to confirm her place in Sunday’s championship round. On Sunday, the daughter of Ashhal Al Rayyan and Ansata Nefer Isis impressed the judges enough to win gold in the Senior Mares Championship with 20 points. Last month, the mare was adjudged Best in Show - Female at the Egyptian Event Europe in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Noor Al Rayyan also has class victories at the 2014 Qatar National Arabian Horse Show and the Qatar International Horse Show to her credit. Elalya Stud was established in 2000 and has been actively involved with the Straight Egyptian Arabian horse in Qatar.
